Kevin Power has received critical acclaim as a character singer/actor from the Times of London to the Globe and Mail and Opera Canada. He is known for his vocal strength, passionate lyricism, outrageous comedy, and compelling dramatic performances. An original cast member of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera (International Touring Company, LIVENT), he has performed on most of Canada's major stages as well as London's famed West End, Hawaii and Alaska. Credits include: M. Andre, Phantom of the Opera;; Wind, Leo The Royal Cadet; Billy Crocker, Anything Goes; Candide and many more! Kevin recently made his debut with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony in a Tribute to Broadway. His version of "Music of the Night" from Phantom garnered multiple curtain calls and rave reviews declaring: "Power's version..better than that of Michael Crawford who originated the role!"



In 2001 Kevin produced BroadwayCabaret/BroadwayJazz a journey of the Broadway musical from stage to jazz standard. Joined by Canadian Cabaret artist Sheri Somerville and Toronto based jazz pianist Richard Whiteman, BroadwayCabaret/BroadwayJazz has become an amazing success in its first full season with three Canadian tours.



Power is a published composer and holds a degree in Music Theory and Composition.
