He also served as Musical Director for productions at Theatre Memphis, Playhouse on the Square, Germantown Theatre and the Panola Playhouse. He returned to the stage in 1994, playing Bill Calhoun/Lucentio in KISS ME, KATE for Florida's Treasure Coast Opera, who immediately reengaged him for their next season's production of OKLAHOMA!.

Since then, Tom has been performing cabaret shows between his work travel schedule. His Debut CD 'Tom Grounds: Something That I Wanted You to Know' hass been well received since it's release at the end of 2002.

Tom will be performing the stage version of his critically acclaimed CD in two venues in NYC (The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, and Mama Rose's) at the end of November 2003.
